Good use of colors, but I would (personally - I'm not sure about others) prefer to see more of the white stand out in the top lefthand corner of the print. And I think that the choice of the warm colors enhances the composition - as opposed to cooler reds, etc. If you will be posting the continuing process of this print, I can't wait to see them.

A BAD GALLERY
:iconjashawk:
this is actually not the traditional way to do an etching...( no acid-bath is required and no metal plates) this form of the art called dry point is done by scratching into a piece of plexyglass with a stylus (something sharp, a nail?) to make an image using crosshatching or hatching. next smear oil based printers ink or oil paint into the scratches in the plexyglass using a piece of mat board or something, scraping the exes off with the same piece. now ball up a piece of cheese cloth and wipe off the surface ink, taking care not to press hard enough to take the ink out of the scratches. now your plate is ready to print. for this you need to apply tons of pressure to the plate and a damp piece of paper... use an etching press or if you don't have one of those lying around put a board on the ground, put down some padding with your paper and plate cushioned in the middle and run the whole mess over with your car.........(this can serve two purposes: to print your work and to get out the frustration that this proses will generate)

have fun! let me know about any other questions or look up dry point

Thank you very much! I suppose that plexiglass pieces are sold in any art shop, right?
